Pymetrics is now presented by Harver as its game-based assessment offering. An employer may still use Pymetrics, Harver Pymetrics, or Harver branding in an invitation. The invitation, not an old candidate report or a preparation product, determines the games, device rules, deadline, results, and retest policy for your assessment.
Important: The 45 exercises below are original educational multiple-choice questions. They do not reproduce Pymetrics or Harver games, use proprietary screens or timing, calculate a behavioral profile, or predict a hiring result. Live behavioral assessments often do not have conventional right answers. Follow the instructions in your invitation and respond naturally.
What Is the Pymetrics Assessment?
Pymetrics is a game-based behavioral assessment product. Harver describes its current offering as “pymetrics for Game-based Assessments.” The public product page says its interactive experiences are intended to evaluate soft-skill categories such as effort, risk tolerance, decision making, attention, focus, learning, fairness, generosity, and emotion.
This is not the same as a conventional knowledge exam where every response can be marked simply correct or incorrect. A live assessment may use patterns across interactions. Do not try to manufacture a preferred personality, reverse engineer an employer benchmark, or use automation, scripts, bots, external help, or leaked material.
For a broader platform guide, see Harver Assessment.
Is Pymetrics Now Part of Harver?
Yes. Harver announced the completed acquisition of pymetrics on August 11, 2022. Harver currently markets pymetrics as its game-based assessment offering. This corporate relationship does not mean every Harver assessment includes games. Employers can choose different Harver modules for different roles.
Are Pymetrics Games Still Used?
Harver currently has a public page for pymetrics game-based assessments, so the product is actively marketed. Employers may still send invitations under Pymetrics or Harver Pymetrics names. Only your employer invitation can confirm whether you will complete games, which games are assigned, and whether there are other assessment modules.
Pymetrics Quick Facts
| Topic | Carefully verified guidance |
|---|---|
| Current product branding | Harver markets “pymetrics for Game-based Assessments.” |
| Ownership | Harver announced its acquisition of pymetrics on August 11, 2022. |
| Public experience count | Harver markets “12+” interactive, gamified experiences. This is not a promise of exactly 12 games for every candidate. |
| Public average duration | Harver states approximately 25 minutes on average. Your invitation controls your actual duration. |
| Categories named publicly | Effort, risk tolerance, decision making, attention, focus, learning, fairness, generosity, and emotion. |
| Candidate feedback | Harver says candidates receive immediate results and feedback. Follow your invitation if it says otherwise. |
| Completion statistic | Harver markets a 98% completion rate. This is a Harver marketing claim, not a prediction of an individual outcome. |
| Retesting | Employer, invitation, and platform rules control retesting. A widely repeated 330-day claim is not treated here as verified official policy. |
How Many Pymetrics Games Are There?
There is no safe universal candidate-level number to publish. Harver publicly markets “12+” experiences, while the exact set may vary by employer and configuration. JobTestPrep describes 12 interactive simulations in its Pymetrics Games PrepPack. That commercial product list does not prove that every live assessment has the same games.
How Long Does Pymetrics Take?
Harver’s public game-based assessment page states an average of about 25 minutes. Treat that as a portfolio-level public statement, not a guaranteed duration. Start only when you have enough uninterrupted time, and follow the deadline and instructions in your invitation.
What Do Pymetrics Games Measure?
Harver publicly names broad soft-skill categories including effort, risk tolerance, decision making, attention, focus, learning, fairness, generosity, and emotion. It does not follow that one game measures exactly one trait, that candidates can infer an “ideal” profile, or that a single behavior is universally better. Live scoring methods and employer benchmarks are not public instructions for candidates.
Balloon Game
The Balloon name is often associated with choices involving uncertainty and risk. The ethical lesson is not to choose maximum caution or maximum risk. Read the live rules, make genuine decisions, and avoid trying to imitate an imagined target profile.
Stop Game
The Stop game name suggests response control and attention. A sensible general habit is to read instructions carefully and avoid rushing before you understand a task. Do not use tools or tactics intended to bypass the task.
Arrows Game
Arrows may involve visual attention, direction, or response selection. It is appropriate to practise general concentration away from the live assessment. It is not appropriate to claim knowledge of proprietary item sequences or timing.
Tower Game
Tower is commonly described in third-party preparation materials as a planning-style simulation. Use the live instructions as the authority. Do not assume a static practice puzzle reproduces the platform’s interface, rules, or scoring.
Money Exchange Games
Money Exchange 1 and Money Exchange 2 are listed separately in JobTestPrep’s current commercial package. Their names do not establish a universal scoring rule. Answer live decisions honestly and do not assume that generosity or self-interest is always rewarded.
Hard or Easy Task Game
This game name may suggest choices about effort, difficulty, or persistence. Candidate-facing guidance should remain simple: understand the instructions, make authentic choices, and do not try to discover a hidden behavioral target.
Keypress Game
Keypress can be discussed only as an interactive task name in third-party product materials. Prepare your device, keyboard, browser, and concentration, but do not use macros, scripts, or automation in a live assessment.
Cards Game
Cards can involve attention, memory, or pattern processing in practice descriptions. The task you receive may differ. Follow the displayed rules rather than assumptions from another candidate’s experience.
Lengths Game
Lengths is a named simulation in JobTestPrep’s current package. General visual comparison practice can be educational, but it cannot reveal the proprietary design or scoring of a live game.
Digits Memory Game
Digits Memory suggests short-term recall. General memory practice may help you become comfortable focusing on instructions, but it does not create an official Pymetrics score or profile.
Faces Game
Faces can be discussed as a named package simulation only. Respectful emotion-recognition practice uses neutral, original descriptions and does not claim that a live game can be solved by reading a single facial cue.
Is There a Correct Way to Play?
For many behavioral game-based assessments, there may not be one conventional correct answer for each action. There can still be instructions that must be followed. Read them carefully, use only permitted equipment, and respond naturally. Do not attempt to game the assessment, fake consistency, or seek an “ideal employee” profile.
Are Pymetrics Games Personality Tests?
They are game-based behavioral assessments, not a standard self-report personality questionnaire. Harver describes the product in terms of behavioral and soft-skill attributes. Avoid treating the result as a fixed diagnosis, a complete description of you, or a conventional personality test with a known answer key.
Are the Games Timed?
Timing can vary by the game and employer configuration. Harver publishes an average overall completion figure, not a universal candidate-level timing rule for every task. Your invitation and on-screen instructions control.
Can You Pause Between Games?
Do not assume you can pause, resume, refresh, or return later. Check the invitation and the platform instructions before starting. If you need an accommodation, ask the employer or assessment contact through the official process before the deadline.
Can You Retake Pymetrics?
Retest availability is controlled by the employer, invitation, and platform rules. Do not treat third-party claims of a 330-day retest period as verified official policy. Ask the employer or assessment contact if retesting matters to your situation.
How Is Pymetrics Scored?
Harver’s public materials describe behavioral data and soft-skill assessment at a high level. They do not provide a candidate method for calculating a profile, employer benchmark, pass score, or job-match formula. Do not infer a hiring result from one action or from these educational exercises.
Will You Receive Your Results?
Harver’s public game-based assessment page says candidates receive immediate results and feedback. Employer configuration and the current invitation still matter. Do not assume the feedback will include a hiring decision, an employer score, or a detailed trait report.
Is Pymetrics Proctored?
Do not assume a universal proctoring rule. The employer’s invitation controls whether camera, identity, browser, location, or other integrity requirements apply. Follow the stated requirements and do not attempt to bypass them.
Can You Use a Phone?
Device support depends on the assigned assessment and employer instructions. Use the device and browser specified in your invitation. Do not assume that a phone is permitted simply because a game-based activity seems mobile-friendly.
Pymetrics versus Harver
Harver is the broader talent-assessment platform and product portfolio. Pymetrics is the game-based assessment offering Harver now markets after the acquisition. A Harver invitation may include Pymetrics games, other modules, or neither. Read the module names in your invitation.
Pymetrics versus Arctic Shores
Pymetrics and Arctic Shores are separate assessment providers. Both may be described as game-based or behavior-focused in general discussion, but their employer configurations, interfaces, scoring, and candidate instructions should not be treated as interchangeable. Use the provider and employer instructions for your actual invitation.
Pymetrics versus Cognify
Pymetrics and Cognify are separate products. Do not assume a Cognify assessment has the same games, duration, scoring, proctoring, or retest rules as Pymetrics. Preparation should match the named assessment in your invitation.
How to Prepare Ethically
- Read the entire invitation and identify the platform, deadline, required device, browser, and any accommodation process.
- Confirm whether the invitation actually names Pymetrics or game-based assessments.
- Arrange a quiet setting, reliable connection, and sufficient uninterrupted time.
- Practise transferable attention, memory, planning, probability, and perceptual skills with original exercises.
- Read every on-screen instruction before acting.
- Respond authentically in behavioral tasks rather than trying to fabricate a role-specific profile.
- Never use AI, scripts, macros, bots, another person, leaked content, or external assistance in a live assessment.
Paid Pymetrics Preparation
JobTestPrep’s Pymetrics Games PrepPack is a third-party product. Its listed package content includes 1-month access, a one-time payment presentation, money back guarantee wording, study guides, and 12 interactive simulations for Balloon, Stop, Arrows, Tower, Money Exchange 1, Money Exchange 2, Hard or Easy Task, Keypress, Cards, Lengths, Digits Memory, and Faces. Confirm current eligibility, terms, inclusions, and price at checkout. Do not treat the commercial package as an official Harver product or a guarantee of the games you will receive.
It may be useful for candidates who want structured practice with similarly named interactive exercises, provided they understand the limits. It does not promise a perfect simulation, the real test, an ideal trait profile, improved role fit, passing, an interview, or employment.
For candidates who want that third-party package, review JobTestPrep’s Pymetrics Games PrepPack after checking that Pymetrics games are actually named in the invitation.
45 Original Practice Exercises
These scored exercises practise transferable skills only. They are not Pymetrics games, do not compute behavioral traits, and do not provide an employer score. A strong score here does not predict a live behavioral-assessment outcome.
